Waterloo Region Housing Educator of the Year Award
Outstanding Housing Educator Award is presented to an individual or group who has demonstrated exceptional commitment, passion and innovation in increasing awareness and educating the community about affordable housing issues within Waterloo Region. "While working with families experiencing homelessness within Waterloo Region, Heather Papp recognized a need to better support children in school classrooms whose families are experiencing homelessness. This led to the development of the Teacher Toolkit, an education resource for teachers that supports students of all ages to increase their awareness of homelessness. The Toolkit has been shared with both school boards. People in Calgary, St. John's and Vermont have let us know they are using the resources."

Award presented to individuals who have demonstrated commitment, dedication and ability in assisting individuals and families to access or maintain adequate and affordable housing.
Pastor Meibohm Award of Excellence
Award given to someone who exhibits strong commitment to Christian faith, and cares deeply about vulnerable people in our community. Recipients of this award have a passion for serving others and doing it in a respectful and professional way. The recipients personal humility and compassion for others reflects her values and motivates staff to utilize their best efforts to build the very best future possible for clients.
